My Favorite Internet Word - Residual!

When it comes to Internet marketing and making money online, I have one favorite word that guides most of my product choice decisions - it's the word "residual."

My best working definition for residual is that "you do the work once and you get paid over and over again. Unlike a job where you get paid for the hour you work, basically a one-for-one exchange, residual-based programs allow you to work once and get paid for that same work month after month.

There are a lot of programs, systems and products a person could sell on the Internet. Many of them are "one-sale" items, meaning once you sell the item you have to start at the beginning to sell the next, and the next, and the next...

In my opinion this is a lot of wasted effort. Why not put that same amount of effort into a number of residual-based programs, grow them to the level of monthly income you want, and then sit back and relax? Doesn't this make more sense?

It does to me and it should make sense to you.

90% of the income streams I have are residual-based like Profitmart, Insider Blueprint, The Humanitarian Enterprise, Traffic Testers and Following Up. These programs (and the income I receive from them) support most of the luxuries I enjoy right now. Some of these programs I have not actively advertised in months, yet my monthly income is steadily increasing as a result of them. This is why I recommend residual programs to all of my students.

Every once in a while a good "one-sale" item comes along and I take time to promote it and advertise it. It's usually something that everyone NEEDS rather than a passing WANT item. I know the difference between Internet WANTS and Internet NEEDS. Once such need is a free 10-day email course called Magnetic Sponsoring. EVERY marketer on the 'net NEEDS to get this course. This course will show the correct, most effective way to market and be in business on the Internet.

So, to close out this post today, think RESIDUAL! Residual is best! Residual is my favorite word.

Emergency Cash Plans Review

This may come as a SHOCK to you, but if you are not making money online, then you are doing something wrong.

I don't mean to say that internet marketing is easy or that it is inherently profitable. But if you know what you are doing, it's not that difficult. There is tons of money out there, you just need to know how to convert it.

There has been a lot of talk lately about the internet drying up and how that much of the money that used to be available is now gone.

Well, I'm sorry, but nothing could be further from the truth.

People have gotten more skeptical and wary of how they spend their money, but they are still spending it.

The internet is like a wave and waves come and go. Sometimes they break on the shore of Los Angeles and other times they break in San Francisco, but they always break somewhere.

Wherever the internet wave breaks, there will be money to be had. You just have to know where to find it.

Emergency Cash Plans was developed so you can find where that money is and you can learn how to exploit it.

The Emergency Cash Plans team has worked long and hard checking the four corners of the internet to find the opportunities that can make you rich. They have spent days upon days doing nothing but surf the internet so you don't have to waste your time. They have tried and tested just about every single money making opportunity on the internet and have weeded the bad ones out. Just for you.

What they were left with was hundreds of effective and simple to use money making opportunities, but they felt that they still hadn't finished their job just yet. They then took these hundreds of opportunities and sorted them based on the amount of time it would take to eventually see a profit.

They immediately threw out any opportunity that would take longer than a month. They still had too many, so they then threw out the anything that would take longer than a week.

Would you believe that they still had too many opportunities?

They were going to include all those they had left, but there were just too many to easily fit into the course they were building.

They had no choice. They were under pressure to get their course out to the public. They made one final cut, throwing out any opportunity that would take longer than 24 hours to see the first profit.

What they were left with was the perfect combination of quantity and quality.

I do want to warn you though. Emergency Cash Plans has the potential to very, very powerful. With power comes competition and with competition comes knockoffs. Don't wait until later to buy Emergency Cash Plans.

Don't overlook this email as it may very well prove to be one of the most influential and important ones you've ever received...

How To Set Financial Goals That Work

It is my mission to find you easy-to-implement programs that will help make you money.

I try to avoid "like the plague" all of the hype that's circulating the Internet and only show you products and services that are actually making ME money - honest-to-goodness products you would proud to share.

Over the next few days and weeks I will be sharing with you information that will help you succeed, HOWEVER you define "success." I am not a guru by any stretch of the imagination, but just a regular guy who has found a way to make a part time living from the Internet.

I have a very large family to take care of (11 kids - eight are still at home) so I have a strong incentive to do it right and to do it for a long time!

Enough about me - let's get to you.

Lesson #1 - Do you know where you're going?

Let me ask you another way. "Do you know what your financial goals are? If so, how do you know when you have arrived?"

This is a very important question to answer because if you have no idea where you're going, you won't know when you have arrived and you won't have that "satisfied" feeling wen you have accomplished your goal.

To help you, let me give you an acronym to help you define your goals.

S-M-A-R-T

Financial goals (and any goals for that matter) should be

Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive.

You can't just say, "I want to be rich," or "I want to make a lot of money."

They have to be SPECIFIC goals.
They have to be MEASURABLE goals.
They have to be ATTAINABLE or ACHIEVABLE goals.
They have to be REALISTIC goals (not a million $$$ next week!)
They have to be TIME-SENSITIVE goals (in other words, give yourself a reasonable time to reach that goal.)

So my assignment for you is, over the next 24 hrs take 10-15 minutes, think about and then WRITE down your financial goals according to the guidelines I gave above. This is an extremely important exercise.

You will be surprised by the "success door" it will open once you specifically WRITE DOWN these goals.

How To Find a Good Product

In our last post we talked about the 5 NEEDS of an Internet business. These are not luxuries or things you could leave out. If you plan to be successful on the Internet, then you must believe and understand these are NEEDS, not luxuries.

The first need we mentioned is a good product or service. There are literally thousands of products and services anyone could sell - everything from ebooks to websites to advertising to software and much, much more.

If you're going to market something, then let that "something" be of high quality and it should be something that fulfills a need. You don't want your name associated with just any lame product out there. People are looking for solutions and they are looking to YOU to solve them. So please understand, your name and the product or service you represent go hand in hand.

I would suggest finding a generic product like the Insider Blueprint or Magnetic Sponsoring or some other broad, low cost product to establish a relationship with you new customers. Both the Insider Blueprint and Magnetic Sponsoring solves a need every marketer has and that need is how to get people to look at their product or service without trying to over-sell them. If you could show new and experienced marketers how to sell their products correctly, you will gain a life-long customer.

There is a science to being an effective marketer and its relatively easy to learn. Both of these systems will help you learn that science as you are trying to decide on what products or services will become your main source of income.

So, to summarize, start out with a generic, easy to sell product to establish a relationship. My two recommendations are Insider Blueprint or Magnetic Sponsoring. These are not only good products to give to someone else, but they will show you how to be a better marketer and put more money in your pocket as well.

Internet Marketing - Necessities and Luxuries Defined

I know I'm not the only person that sends you email and you have a choice to listen to as many "gurus" as you want. I'm not a "guru" by any stretch of the imagination, but I know what it takes to make money online and I do care about you and your success. I hope I have gained that much trust fom you.

To be successful online, not only for the short term but the long term, there are 5 things you absolutely NEED. They are:

1. You NEED a good product or service, whether its your own or an affiliate product or service. This is the easiest of the needs to meet, yet the hardest because I said you need a GOOD product or service, not some "hyped-up, nobody needs or wants it" product. There are thousands of products on the market but you want to sell something that someone needs and has to have it. (I will have recommendations at the end.)

2. You NEED your OWN website to market your product or service, even if its an affiliate product or service. You NEED your OWN website.

Why? Because this is the only way people will know about YOU and get to know YOU for who YOU are. If you are an affiliate for some other company, all of your work is going towards building their business and not yours. So you need your OWN web site to build YOUR business.

Now this leads me to the third necessity,

3. You NEED your OWN list of people you contact on a regular basis. You have probably heard it a thousand times from every corner of the Internet - THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST! THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST!

This is one of the truest statements ever preached on the 'net.

And the only way to create your own list is to fulfill necessity #2 - have your own website that can collect names and email addresses so you can followup with your web site visitors.

Now in order for you to collect, store and email the addresses, you NEED a good autoresponder service that will send out periodic emails to your list. This is how you will make sales long after your visitor's first visit.

You have heard this before, I'm sure, but it bears repeating again. Sometimes it takes a person 5-7 times to see a message before they respond to it. Well, an autoresponder with preset messages will fulfill this purpose for you and help produce sales LONG after your visitor's first visit.

So, necessity #3 is you NEED a list and an autoresponder to send emails to that list.

4. Traffic, Traffic, Traffic! You NEED targeted traffic to your web site. Traffic is the holy grail of the Internet. It is the sugar in the Kool-Aid, the gas in the Mercedes, the "air" that the Internet breathes in order to live. In other words, you can have needs 1 and 2 met, but without traffic, need 3 of building your list will never be met.

Finding quality traffic can be expensive both in time and money unless you know where to look. Later in this report I will show you the most effective places to get quality traffic for your web sites and products.

5. Necessity #5 is you NEED a way to get paid. When people buy your product or service you want to provide a easy means for the transaction to take place. Paypal and Clickbank have been the most reliable methods I have seen thus far on the Internet. Both companies have been around a long time. This speaks to their stability and popularity.

To summarize the 5 needs:

1. A good product or service
2. Your OWN website (not an affiliate web site)
3. Your OWN list of people
4. Quality traffic
5. Payment Method

I must emphasize at this point that these are NEEDS, not luxuries to succeed. If you are jumping around from one product to another, trying to sell this or trying to advertise that, you are setting your self up for failure - guaranteed.

Just as if you don't meet the needs of food, water, and shelter you will physically die, the same will happen if you don't meet these 5 Internet needs. Your business will certainly die, too.

So sit back, take a deep breath (go ahead - inhale then exhale) and now answer these 5 questions honestly:

1. Do I have a product or service that people NEED? Yes___ No____

2. Do I have my OWN web site with an autoresponder? (not an affiliate site) Yes___ No___

3. Do I have my OWN list of people to contact? Yes___ No___

4. Do I know WHERE to get quality traffic to send to my web site in order to build my list and make sales? Yes___ No___

5. Do I have a Paypal or Clickbank account? Yes___ No___

If you answered "No" to any of the above questions, now you know what NEEDS you need to meet to not only survive, but also to thrive as an Internet marketer.

Product -> Web site -> Autoresponder -> Traffic -> Build List = Sales!

Addendum to the Orignal Post -

I apologize to everyone but I never got a chance to update my blog with the specifics of the NEEDS you must have to get started.

I will cover the first 2 NEEDS in this post and they are:

1. A good product or service

There are products, services, and tools I use every day to create and maintain my income.

Profitmart is an excellent web site builder service that gives you Clickbank, Amazon, Ebay, Adsense and any affiliate program you choose for income. Plus you can earn residual affiliate income by sharing Profitmart with others.

Income 4 Dummies is an excellent tool to earn multiple $40 payments every day. Get the Free ebook here that explains it in simple terms. Even a child could do this one.

On Demand Profits is another simple program that can make you a good income. You can find out more about it here.

2. Your own web site

I can't emphasize this need enough. EVERYONE needs their OWN web site if they expect to succeed online. Its like being in the middle of the ocean without a life raft. Even if all you sell is other people's stuff (you know, an "affiliate") you still need your own web site.

If you don't know how to build one, then have someone do it for you. There are some options I recommend, both for the DIY'er (do-it-yourself-er) and the person who would rather have someone else do it:

a. Virtual Real Estate 1000 - Get your very own 1000-page web site with Adsense.
b. Profitmart - Already mentioned it above in #1
c. Instant Site Maker
d. EZ Web Business Builder
e. Word Page Builder
